Lavapalooza 2009
It is already our last prom… Ouch! Sad it is indeed for me because one of the most unforgettable moments in High School life is to experience the very momentous event of the school year- the Juniors Seniors Promenade.
I recall myself once dreaming to be able to experience all that I have not experience during my early ages, to dance with my friends, crushes, and loved ones, to wear a gown with make-up, to dance a cotillion, have a promenade with my partner and grand march with the prominent personalities inside the campus… At this point, in just one blink of an eye, all this came true. And just like anybody else, I have also experienced the JS prom with pride and confidence.
Wearing red and black semi formal dress, white shoes pouch and accessories, I arrived in school late that the promenade had already started. I never expected that I have already a partner….brouhaha. We held hands and entered at the heart-shaped that was filled with balloons. After the very long promenade, we danced waltz then I felt like in the sky, dancing with him… I enjoyed dancing the cotillion and received a rose from the third year. Then, the dance proper came. There were so, many experiences that I will always remember. There was a gentleman who danced with me, he talked to me softly, we get to know each other and dance until the music lasts. My valentine was the Perfect song and a very meaningful song that night…Most of the gentlemen during the prom was my classmates, friends and batch mates. Until the last choice came,…My friend and I were searching guys to dance with but we didn’t so we just dance one another. NO JOKE!!! We also rock and roll!heehaw…
Just like anybody else, I have caught some lessons and reasons why they organized this kind of event. It is the time of loving, motivating ourselves from getting to know each other, to test our confidence and to prepare us through college life. Its goal is to honor the seniors and give due respect to them or to US!!!
